They called for the refrigerator while I waited. I said I wanted to make sure the food got in there. I was told that we could leave and someone one bring the refrigerator up. At that point, I went down to the front desk and explained again that we had food waiting to go in. This time, I only asked about the refrigerator since we really needed to get food in there and didn't want to sit in the room all afternoon.
They said they'd have the refrigerator brought right up and would send someone for the remote. Additionally, the TV remote control wasn't working. We went up to the room and and waited for 45 minutes. I asked to have it brought up and said we'd wait since we had food that had to be put in. We were offered a refrigerator at checkin. NEGATIVE: SAFETY and SERVICE! Staff known by front desk to leave room open! Details: We checked in at about 2pm on a Thursday (very quiet at the hotel at the time). Food court prices are actually quite good. We were very excited about the trip, but VERY disappointed with critical safety flaws and customer service. We have been to the Solvang area several times, but this is our first time at Chumash Casino. Just returned from an overnight trip with my family.
